Samantha Simons is the art-engineer behind KungaKaruna craft, a union of creative pursuits paired with service. As a yoga teacher who follows the mantra "Open Mind, Soft Heart, Willing Spirit, Dirty Hands", she enjoys focusing her teaching as a healing space. Samantha's mother and older sister have been passionate about fiber arts, ceramics, and other mediums for decades and in turn shared their talents. What once was a hobby and a way to gift in a meaningful way has evolved into a means of creative expression and giving back.

KK Craft was named from the sanskrit word for compassion, KARUNA, and the kinyerwandan word meaning to help, to serve, to reconcile, KUNGA. A portion of the proceeds from Samantha's KKcraft sales support Wilmington Yoga Center's Kunga Fund, supporting Homes of Hope Orphanages in India. Additionally, KKcraft donates to local charitable organizations. You will often find our pieces in auctions and benefits and the occasional Instagram giveaway.

Samantha's creations are inspired by her family, travels, nature, color, and the deep desire to make something that you will love and enjoy, knowing your purchase connects you others in the same universal web.
